Born in Florence, Italy, Roberto Cavalli was influenced by his artistic family and especially by his grandfather Giuseppe Rossi, a Florentine painter from the Macchiaiolo movement, whose pieces can be seen in the Uffizi Museum. Roberto Cavalli had a calling at a young age for art and fashion and attended the Academy of Art in Florence, Italy.
